1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how AprHeal ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information about visitors to https://aprheal.com (the "Site"). AprHeal is an educational website that provides information and tools related to credit card interest, debt management, and financial wellness.

We are committed to collecting only what we need, being transparent about how we use it, and giving you meaningful control over your information.

2. Information We Collect

We have intentionally designed AprHeal to collect as little information as possible.

2.1 Information You Provide Voluntarily

The Site does not include account registration, contact forms, newsletter signups, or any other mechanism that asks you to submit personal information. The only way you may share information with us is by voluntarily sending an email to the address listed in our footer (hello@aprheal.com). When you do so, we receive your email address and any content you choose to include in your message.

We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not add email addresses received this way to any marketing list, sell them to third parties, or use them for any purpose other than direct correspondence with you.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically through analytics technology:

  • Usage data, such as pages visited, time spent on each page, referring website, and approximate session duration.
  • Device and browser data, such as browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and device category (mobile, tablet, desktop).
  • Approximate location data, derived from IP address (typically at the city or region level — not precise location).
  • Cookies and similar technologies, as described in Section 4 below.

We use Google Analytics 4 to collect this information. We have configured Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled, meaning your full IP address is not stored or used to identify you.

2.3 Information We Do Not Collect

For clarity, AprHeal does not collect:

  • Names
  • Phone numbers
  • Mailing or billing addresses
  • Payment or financial account information
  • Social Security numbers or government IDs
  • Health or medical information
  • Information from social media accounts
  • Information from individuals known to be under 13 years of age

The interactive APR calculator on the Site performs all calculations locally in your browser. Values you enter (debt balance, APR, monthly payment) are never transmitted to our servers and are not stored after you leave the page.

3. How We Use Information

We use the limited information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To respond to inquiries you send us by email.
  • To understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve content, navigation, and performance.
  • To detect and prevent technical issues, abuse, or security incidents.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

A "cookie" is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. AprHeal uses cookies for the following purposes:

  • Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics, which help us understand aggregate usage patterns. These cookies typically expire after 24 months.

We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or building behavioral profiles.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block all cookies, block only third-party cookies, or delete cookies after each session. Disabling cookies will not affect the core functionality of the Site, including the calculator.

You may also opt out of Google Analytics specifically by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers, such as Google (for analytics) and Cloudflare (for hosting and content delivery), who process information on our behalf under their respective privacy policies.
  • Legal requirements, where we are required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process to disclose information.
  • Business transfers, in the event AprHeal or its assets are sold, merged, or otherwise transferred. If this occurs, we will notify users via a prominent notice on the Site, and the acquiring party will be bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy unless and until it is updated.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information.

6.1 California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months.
  • Delete the personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA, so this right is automatically honored.
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information.
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

6.2 European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erase your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restrict processing of your data.
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

The legal basis for our processing of your data is our legitimate interest in operating and improving the Site (analytics) and, where you contact us by email, performing the action you requested. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@aprheal.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

6.3 Other U.S. State Privacy Laws

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (including but not limited to Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and others) generally have rights similar to those described above for California residents. To exercise your rights, email us at hello@aprheal.com.

7. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.

  • Email correspondence is retained as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping purposes (typically up to 24 months), unless you request earlier deletion.
  • Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics 4 default settings (currently 14 months for user-level and event-level data).

8. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect the limited information we collect, including HTTPS encryption for all Site traffic and reliance on reputable service providers (Google, Cloudflare) with strong security practices.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

AprHeal is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. 10. International Users

AprHeal is operated from the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Site, you consent to this transfer.

11. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including reputable sources cited in our educational content (such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal Reserve, and the National Foundation for Credit Counseling). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.

12. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is currently no industry-standard interpretation of DNT signals. We do not currently respond to DNT signals, but we honor user privacy through the limited data collection practices described in this Policy.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site for at least 30 days following the change. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
